Anointing Service
Dec
29

Anointing Service

Join us Sunday, December 29, for a special time of worship, prayer, and communion. Our Church Leadership will pray over and anoint each person with oil as we embrace the power of prayer and the symbolic meaning of anointing. Just as oil was used to anoint spiritual leaders in the Bible before the Holy Spirit came upon them (1 Samuel 16:13), the oil represents the Holy Spirit's presence. We'll pray for healing, the upcoming year, spiritual breakthrough, and God's guidance in our lives. This will be one of our most meaningful services of the year, so bring your family and friends as we look forward to an amazing 2025!

Hurricane Relief for Western North Carolina

Hurricane Disaster Relief Update!

Thank you, Oaks Church, for your ongoing prayers and generosity as we partner with organizations and local ministries for hurricane relief. In the coming days, we'll deliver your donated supplies to the Western North Carolina communities facing the greatest need, especially those without water: Burnsville, Spruce Pine, and Micaville.

To donate items for hurricane relief, please refer to the updated following list. You can drop off items at the bin located in our front office Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM, as well as in the Main Lobby this Sunday before or after our morning gathering.

It is now snowing in the mountains. People that still have house structures are still cleaning out mud and debris. All HVAC systems and appliances have been destroyed. However, many now have power and running water.

Camping Accessories - they need tents, sleeping bags for very cold weather, camp stoves, Camp stove fuel, Space heaters (electric is fine), Cots (many are sleeping on the cold muddy floors) and folding or camp chairs.

Cleaning Supplies - Dehumidifiers, mops, brooms, shovels, vinegar, detergent, baking soda, Damp Rid, Towels/rags, anything to clean off mud and kill mold.

Winter Items - Coats, gloves, hats, hand warmers, socks, blankets (Babies through adult sizes)
